Introducing a New Column: Lavishly Green

April 10, 2008 by Megan

lavishly-green

When I was a little girl, my mother made me write.  It started with sentences and evolved into a story about myself…my life…all 8 years of it!  What seemed like tedious work destined to take me away from Barbie dolls and dress-up became my reprieve…my creative outlet.

As a nurse, I’m inherently passionate about wellness and fitness. Becoming a parent inspired me to learn more about how to raise my son in the safest, healthiest environment, while preserving the  planet he will grow up on.  During my pregnancy I spent numerous hours researching organic crib mattresses, BPA-free bottles, and paraben-free skin care products.

We live in a society that is becoming increasingly conscious about our carbon footprint.   And so I introduce my new column, Lavishly Green, where you’ll find eco-friendly tips and chic product picks you’ll feel good about using.  Sit down, grab a cup of tea (green if you’d like) and join me every week for your daily dose of all things green!

Please join me in welcoming Caryn to the Peekaboo Picks team!  Caryn- Going green is something I’m striving for in my own life and I can’t wait to read what fabulous green products and tips you have to share with us.  Welcome aboard! ~Megan
