When my husband decided it was time for a Costco run the other night and showed up with a car full of food, I knew the inevitable was in store: I had to clean out the dreaded fridge! I’ve been putting this little chore off for weeks now, being a bit frightened of the mounds of takeout boxes and the slight odor of curdled milk every time I opened the door. But I finally brought my very pregnant self to tackle the task at hand and what I found was not pretty.
I’ll save the details with respect to all those 1st trimester readers. The last thing I want to do is induce any more morning sickness. Let’s just say I was greeted by some unknown creatures, like fuzzy salsa and hairy hummus.
What I also discovered were 5 or 6 half used jars of pasta sauce. What a waste! We usually only use about half a jar to make a meal, so the remaining sauce gets put back in the fridge with the thought we’ll use it up within the next few days. Well, obviously we’re a little forgetful!
If you’re in my same boat, let me introduce you to a fab product which I am now using in attempt to keep my fridge a little more inviting. The Days Ago Digital Day Counter is the perfect way to keep track of all those half used items. Use it on pasta sauce, baby food, or just about anything. Easy to use, they conveniently suction onto things. Say so long to scary fridge creatures for good!
