And The Oscar goes to…Petunia Pickle Bottom!

When they announced the Oscar nominees earlier this week we were delighted to see Juno amongst the best picture contenders.  And while Ellen Page, Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman did amazing jobs in their roles, we also want to recognize the fabulous supporting role of Petunia Pickle Bottom’s Tutu Roll Boxy Backpack.

It didn’t have a speaking part, but we like to think it’s role in the scene with Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman having a disagreement was an important one. While they are arguing in the front hallway of their home, the Tutu Roll Boxy Backpack sits quietly, taking in the conflict…it’s beautiful green and petal pink flowers promising a future of happier times. We can imagine excursions with the expectant baby as Jen joyously straps the bag on her back, stuffed with all the things she needs for taking care of the little one, hands free so she can hold the baby or stroll him with the greatest of ease.

Okay, so perhaps we’re being a bit dramatic here.  But we really do love this bag (and the entire line from Petunia Pickle Bottom) and were tickled to see this gorgeous diaper bag from one of our favorite designers featured in one of our favorite movies.

So congrats and a toast to you Petunia Pickle Bottom!  Bottoms up!
