Home Office Lust

I’ve been trying to get organized since the start of the new year.  Trying being the key word here.  Life has been a bit, shall we say, hectic.  Its a time of transition for my family with the new baby’s arrival only 2 months away, a house still “in the works”, a new job for the hubby, and making plans for my own job to transition to our home, from my not-yet-existing home office.  We have the space.  It’s just a matter of 1) clearing out all the junk 2) getting organized 3) updating our office equipment and 4) making it pretty.  Yes, making it pretty is a necessity.

While searching for office supplies this evening, I discovered a feature on one of my favorite sites, SeeJaneWork.com, that for some reason I never noticed before.  Behold, The Desk of the Month.  Swooning might be an appropriate word to use here.  This is the latest desk in the series of fabulousness, but for a whole year’s worth of amazing desk ensembles, you really should head over to their site, the series is a must see!

What’s better, all of the products used in The Desk of the Month are conveniently listed, so you can literally recreate the entire look (okay, except for maybe the wall of glass looking out to a park like setting…is that geese I see?  And the actual desk itself, but that’s easy enough to duplicate.)  Here are a few of the items from this “Retro Style” look:

The Office Basics Project Organizer would be oh-so-handy for the endless number of projects I’m always juggling.  I love this shade of lime, and inside are all kinds of nifty pockets and checklists.

I love the classic look of these pencils and the color palette is simply yummy.  And look, the pencils double as chopsticks for your post-it picking up pleasure…just kidding.

Okay, I suppose I should stop lusting after beautiful supplies and go do something productive, like clear all the junk out of my future office.
